Thank you to everyone who came along to our Opening Day. It was wonderful to see so many people there to celebrate the start of the season.

To Senator Richard Dowling, thank you for opening the season — for a non-sailor, you did pretty well!

To the Bird family — today, Michael Bird got wet for the first time! Lokie was a magnificent family representative.

To Hill Street Grocers, thank you for the delicious fresh fruit.

To RO David Graney, thank you for detailing the Sail Past arrangements and organising the Hevey Memorial Race.

To Jill Cooper, thank you for introducing Commodore Finlay to KBSC all those years ago.

And to Charlotte, thank you for inspiring and motivating Finlay.

Finally, to everyone else working quietly in the background to help the day run so smoothly — thank you. Your efforts are very much appreciated.

Here’s to a fantastic season ahead! ⛵️
