Start Sailing 1 is learn to sail class for adults with little to no experience, held in Pacer Dinghies. The boats will have 1 instructor and 2 students, so you will get lots of support.
Students must be able to swim 25 metres unassisted. PFDs/Life Jackets are provided. We will be getting wet so a wet suit, warm thermals and spray jacket are advised!
This course will be run on Monday afternoons from 4.30 - 7.30pm. The first session will be a theory session in the classroom and in the boats but not on the water.
On completion of the course there is the potential continue with start sailing 2, wich will run depending on demand.
Cost is $200 per person
Course Overview
This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery.

Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate.
