A Learn to Sail class for adults, held in Pacer Dinghies with your teacher in the boat with you and another student. Students must be able to swim 25 metres unassisted. PFDs/Life Jackets are provided. Wet suit, warm thermals and spray jacket advised.
This is a wet course. It is planned to have a theory session on 13th October, but if the weather is good on this first session, we will make the most of the weather and go on the water.
On completion of the course, there will be an opportunity to join in with social sailing on a Monday evening between 5-7pm.
Course Overview
This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery.
Course Prerequisites
Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate.
